Welcome to Futures Sensing. This Journey requires some preparation and deliberate practices. Without grounding and centering, it is easy to slip into old habits while making superficial gestures. I offer here a set of Compasses, Practices, Tools, and Methods to:
Become aware of the stranglehold of hegemony, and its impact on our imagination
Embark on the journey of unshackling our imaginations
Reclaim our inherently human capacities exiled by mechanistic paradigms
Reimagine organizations as living ecosystems with healing impact on our planetary-global civilization
Redefine and reconstitute the true meaning of leading as 'enablers in transitional times'
The Futures Sensing capacities and approaches can be deliberately cultivated and nurtured. They help us move beyond hegemonic paradigms, tap into and learn from emerging futures, and experience the world differently. It combines our capacities for imagination, intuition, inner wisdom, and narrative building, along with the skill to perceive and adapt in real-time.
In the face of intertwined ecological, social, economic, and political turbulence, traditional problem-solving methods have become irrelevant and outdated. It is crucial to develop new sensemaking abilities. These foundational capabilities enable us to navigate and steer through unfamiliar terrain, even in uncertain times.
The journey is a transformative experience that challenges conventional thinking, disrupts accepted paradigms, and opens spaces for imaginations and insights to take shape. It empowers participants to become change agents and catalysts in their organizations, communities, and societies.
Why Futures Sensing
The Journey of Futures Sensing encompassing Four Compasses and Five Foundational Practices is about reimagining leadership and organizations for Pluriversal Futures. We stand on the cusp of a Phase Shift. Never has it been so necessary to reimagine and reinvent our foundational narratives and organizations that uphold our global civilization in myriad, interconnected ways.
Developing Futures Sensing capacities is a necessary and counter-hegemonic response that allows us to stay with the trouble, seek the seeds of emergent futures amidst the debris and decays of collapse, and move forward into collective co-creation. I offer this journey as a constant reminder of what is possible--not from a place of blind optimism or desperate pessimism--but from a place of realism. Only when we wholly accept what is and befriend the uncertainties and ambiguities can we see the shoots of possible futures emerging from the cracks and crevices.

My Offerings
The Futures Sensing Journey is offered in the spirit of co-creation while we collectively hold space for what is emerging, and in the belief that life is regenerative. Life is constantly evolving towards higher levels of complexity, integration, and harmony. The present collapse is an invitation to our innermost beings to step forth and align with the universe as co-participants.
For the longest time, humanity has been waging a pitched battle against Life. We are being given another chance to recognize our indelible interconnectedness and oneness with all of Life; to move from battle towards love, and thus become the best we can be. This, I believe, is our collective purpose as a global civilization.
The three Components described below constitute the overarching Journey. It is recommended that you take the journey in its entirety. However, if you wish to go through it as per your need and where you are in this moment, that is also fine.

The Four Compasses
The Four Compasses are the foundational modules that form the bulwark of moving towards Pluriversality. It is a crystallization of the various actions that we can take--individually, institutionally, and through shifting leadership paradigms. These are four pathways that intersect and interweave to lay the foundations for possible futures different from the hegemonic trajectory we are on.
The Foundational Practices are a set of transboundary practices that take you through the principles and processes of inhabiting this liminal space between stories, letting go with grace and gratitude what no longer serves life, and participate in the collective work of world-building. The practices serve to strengthen our inner compass, bring our vision in alignment with our actions, and enable us to move from dissonance towards greater resonance with Self, Other, and Nature.
The Tools and Frameworks provide the guardrails and support for practicing, embodying and experimenting. It is a journey and an ongoing process that involve both inner and outer dimensions. The do-space of actions, choices, and decisions reflect the be-space of the inner Source. The tools help to keep us grounded and stay in alignment.

Moving away from regular planning, strategy, and foresight, Futures Sensing is an inward as well as an outward journey. The journey and transformation within reflects the choices, decisions, and actions without. The journey is an integration of head, heart, hands, as well as our insights, intuitions, and imaginations.
In this context, imagination and intuition are not mere flights of fancy or daydreams; they arise from rigorous applications of pattern sensing, sensemaking, holding of paradoxes, and examining our inherent biases and prejudices while practicing the art of 'presencing'. The path forward is revealed moment to moment as one steps into the generative field. The journey is not easy; it is exhilarating and transformative.
